I am not short, but it touched the top of my feet and the very full skirt felt almost elegant - quite an accomplishment for a knit. Eventually, it needed to be was washed - cold water, low dryer heat - and it is now several inches shorter, not even reaching my ankles, and tighter in all dimensions. Even the skirt seems a sad imitation of the original. It does run large, even by the size information in the product description - do NOT use Amazon's generic size chart - so the robe is still wearable, just not lovable any more, and if it shrinks again, it will be unusable. The grey is a medium grey, a perfect color that doesn't get dirty right away and the fabric doesn't attract cat hair like some fabrics do so I'm happy to let my cat sit in my lap while I watch tv!
